The illustrations are so cute & vibrant, the message wonderful, and, as an adult, I have to say I highly recommend it for children, but also adults. Mandel decided letters, not a fruit basket, would keep her friend in good spirits during this difficult time. Witness as Maestro comes alive on the very first page, and watch as he springs to action to save all of humanity. The Ellie Quick series is a cozy mystery series so the plot surprised me.
