I've had parents tell me that it is the first book their son actually wanted to read. It is a coming-of-age story- that last and greatest childhood summer before they are forever lost to adulthood.My story has been called idyllic. I guess it is. It is set in a small southern town in Arkansas and is certainly about small town life. (There is no cursing- one character describes a dark hole he is defending into as " the depths of hell" but even this is not used as a curse.)This is my first and only book I have written.
