I used this book for all my planning and selection of the places to visit. Randy Singer consistently provides the reader with a gripping story. Hughes does a good job of showing that war is horrible, but often somehow boring. One of the dearest books I've read in a very long while and even more so since I was traveling the path of the Camino myself as I was reading it.
